Zirconia ceramic prosthesis
A zirconia ceramic prosthesis is the most aesthetic and gum-friendly prosthesis.
The patient came to our clinic due to missing upper jaw teeth. After removal of the remaining roots and one-time implantation, the upper teeth were restored using the “All teeth on 6 implants” method, with a zirconia ceramic prosthesis on 6 supporting implants.
Due to its biocompatibility with the gums, polished zirconia binds to the gingival tissues by hemidesmosomal connections (very close to those that form between the own tooth and the gingiva). This results in extremely easy maintenance, hygiene, and longevity of the implants and the prosthesis itself.

All-on-4 dental implants PEEK + PMMA prosthesis
The patient came to us to be able to chew again, as there were no contact pairs of teeth left. We performed “All teeth on 4 implants” implantations of the upper and lower jaw, made screw-on permanent bridges with PMMA long-term aesthetic plastic finish.
With a new smile, the patient smiles much wider and, of course, can chew again.
Visits: The restoration of the upper teeth required one visit to maxillofacial surgeon Raimundas Golubevas and three visits to prosthodontist Aušra Vaškelienė.
The sequence of restoration of the lower teeth was the same.

All-on-4 implants titanium beam and acrylic teeth
“All-on-4 implants” implantation of the upper jaw, permanent screw-in prosthesis made in a week – titanium frame with acrylic finish, worn edges of the lower teeth were filled and removable lower jaw prosthesis made.
Number of visits: tooth extraction and one-time “All-on-4 implants” implantation, also three visits for prosthetics.
In a separate visit, the edges of the worn teeth were filled and 3 more visits were needed to produce a removable lower jaw prosthesis.

/ This is a procedure where four dental implants are threaded into your jaw and a full jaw prosthesis is screwed onto them. These prostheses are of several types – removable or screwed onto several implants. By choosing a screw-in prosthesis, you can achieve results that are equal to the function and strength of your real teeth! Screw-in implants can be removed during a hygienic procedure.

/ Dental implants are inserted in our clinic located in Vilnius in about 2-3 hours, and fitting the prosthesis can take about 1 hour. After some time, you will have to come for an examination, during which the surgeon will assess whether the implants have healed enough to place a screw-on prosthesis.

/ While you are waiting for permanent dentures to be made, you can have temporary, fixed dentures (dental crowns or bridges) placed. You can also choose temporary removable plate prostheses, which can be made of plastic or special elastic materials. Due to temporary prostheses, you will not experience chewing difficulties and your teeth will look aesthetically pleasing.

Why is dental restoration necessary?
/ After losing a tooth or several teeth, the bones begin to dissolve without receiving a load in their place. Together with the bone, the gums recede, and the roots of the teeth become exposed and extremely sensitive. Nearby teeth and their gums are also affected, they begin to bend and fall to the openings where there are no teeth. As a result of the inclination, the bone begins to dissolve more, plaque forms and dental diseases appear, which in the long run can even lead to the removal of teeth.
/ After the loss of teeth, the height of the bite and the symmetry of the face changes noticeably.
/ Missing teeth can lead not only to the progression of oral diseases, but also to other health problems. For example, a person who has lost the full-fledged function of chewing and is unable to chew solid foods may begin to eat incompletely, and all this may become the beginning of digestive disorders. Recommendations after dental implantation:

/ After the implantation procedure, try not to exercise more than usual, do not go to the sauna. Foods to avoid after oral surgery: you should avoid hard foods for the first week.

/ Proper personal oral hygiene is necessary after implantation. Teeth should be carefully brushed twice a day with a toothbrush and toothpaste, interdental floss, brushes or water irrigator.
